Victory in Italy: Winning the Final Leg of the Nastro Rosa Tour 2025

After a challenging season of international offshore racing, I’m proud to share that we took 1st place in the final leg of the Nastro Rosa Tour 2025, racing from La Maddalena to Genoa in the Figaro 3 class.

This final stage was not just a race — it was a test of endurance, navigation, and strategy. Stretching along Italy’s stunning western coastline, the leg featured complex weather systems, shifting winds, and tight competition right until the finish. With limited rest and high stakes, it demanded absolute focus and commitment.

Sailing the Figaro 3 — a high-performance offshore one-design — was an incredible opportunity. It’s a boat that rewards precision and punishes hesitation. We pushed hard from the start, kept consistent pace through the night, and made gains on key tactical calls that ultimately secured the win into Genoa.

Thanks to the Nastro Rosa organisers, race committee, and fellow competitors for an unforgettable event. I’m grateful for the opportunity and already looking forward to what’s next.
