Il Giro d'Italia ā A Podium Finish Around Italy
After several weeks of racing around some of Italy's most spectacular coastline, we wrapped up Il Giro d'Italia with an overall 3rd place finish š„. It was an incredible event that tested every aspect of offshore and inshore racing, from tactical coastal navigation to endurance and consistency across multiple long-distance legs.
Our campaign got off to a fantastic start on the opening leg from Venice to Cattolica, where we secured 2nd place š„. It was a great way to begin the tour and gave us confidence that we had the pace to compete at the front of the fleet.
The second leg from Cattolica to Vieste proved far more challenging. With difficult conditions and a highly competitive fleet, we crossed the finish line in 6th place. While it wasn't the result we were aiming for, the points kept us firmly in contention.
Leg three, from Vieste to Taranto, was another demanding offshore race. We finished 7th, making the overall standings even tighter. Despite the setback, the team remained focused, knowing there were still opportunities to climb back up the leaderboard.
The final offshore leg from Taranto to Syracuse was exactly the response we needed. A strong performance throughout the race earned us 4th place, allowing us to recover valuable points and secure 3rd overall in the Tour of Italy.
Standing on the overall podium after such a varied and competitive event is something we're incredibly proud of. Every leg brought different conditions, new tactical challenges and valuable lessons that will help us continue to develop as a team.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who has supported the campaign throughout the eventāour partners, family, friends and everyone following along from home. Your encouragement makes these results possible.
Now it's time to take everything we've learned, build on the momentum from Italy, and look ahead to the next challenge.
