Il Veloce 2025 — Lessons from the Qualification
This season, we set our sights on Il Veloce 2025, one of Europe’s most challenging doublehanded offshore events and a key stepping stone toward our long-term campaign goals. Although we didn’t make it through qualification this time, the journey offered invaluable experience — both on and off the water.
Il Veloce brings together some of the best mixed offshore teams from across the continent, each pushing to the limit over long coastal and offshore courses that test endurance, navigation, and teamwork. From the first start, the racing was tight and tactical, demanding constant focus and precision.
We knew the qualification phase would be fiercely competitive, and it certainly lived up to that. Despite strong preparation and promising speed, a few small setbacks — from weather transitions to timing decisions — ultimately made the difference in an incredibly close field.
While it’s disappointing not to progress further this year, the event was far from a loss. We leave with deeper insight into our performance, refined communication onboard, and a clearer picture of what it takes to compete at the top level of doublehanded offshore sailing.
This experience will directly feed into our next training block and campaign goals. Offshore racing is built on resilience — every challenge sharpens focus, every race builds experience, and every setback fuels the next opportunity.
A huge thank you to our supporters, partners, and sponsors who continue to back this journey. The lessons from Il Veloce 2025 have only strengthened our commitment to return stronger, faster, and more prepared for what’s ahead.
